Built in 1961, the Strasburg Rail Road Shop is one of the oldest gift shops in Lancaster County. From the beginning, we have provided our visitors with a unique mix of Strasburg Rail Road and PA Dutch gifts & souvenirs along with the stuff that's just plain fun! The Rail Road Store - the very name brings to mind "everything railroad!" We have been a part of the Strasburg Rail Road family since 1972 when we opened our doors as the Freight House Gift Shop. We have many new lines of train gifts & souvenirs for every member of the family, including an impressive selection of wearing apparel. We feature Brio™ trains, The Little Engine That Could™ books & gift sets, and every children's railroad book we could find for you and your family. Everything railroad at the Rail Road Store!

General info:
The office is open January-March with managers available to assist you, but the stores are open by appointment only Monday-Friday during January, February, & March. We are open Saturdays & Sundays when the train runs at this time of year.
The stores are open ˝ hour before the first Strasburg Rail Road train leaves each day it runs, and we close 1 hour after the last train leaves each day the train runs January-December (exception: We are not open after any dinner train returns to Strasburg unless previously arranged). Please check the Strasburg Rail Road timetable for more detailed information.
We are also open Monday-Friday in November & December 10-4, even though the trains operate on a different schedule. We are closed Thanksgiving Day, December 24, 25, & January 1.
